In recent years we have adopted a 'themed' approach to our annual programme and once we have the current theme we then select four specific topics which then become the titles for our presentations in the annual programme.
In 2010 the theme is 'Challenging Traditional Supply Chain Boundaries' Social concerns on consumer perception, demands and green issues, coupled with other factors such as legislative actions are diametrically opposed to logistics efficiency which is governed by market forces, business opportunities & constraints, globalisation and investment cycles. We will be reviewing the relationship between the wider society and logistics
The 2009 theme was "Managing Supply Chains in a Turbulent Economic Climate where we examined short term iniatives in Finance, systems, infrastructure and addressing the knowledge gap.
In 2008 the theme was 'Supply Chain in the Spotlight' where we are addressed the challenges facing our businesses that require our supply chain divisions to respond if they are to tackle and deal with keeping ahead of their competitors, keep abreast of current global issues & the political agenda and up to date with new legislation.
