The Logistics Directors Club

The Logistics Directors Club

OUR GOAL is to provide a forum for senior logisticians and supply chain directors the opportunity to debate current strategic supply chain and logistics topics. Additionally it provides the opportunity to network with their peers in a relaxed and pleasant environment

Our Theme for the 2010 Programme

CHALLENGING TRADITIONAL SUPPLY CHAIN BOUNDARIES

Social concerns on consumer perception, demands and green issues, coupled with other factors such as legislative actions are diametrically opposed to logistics efficiency which is governed by market forces, business opportunities & constraints, globalisation and investment cycles.

So the LDC Theme will review the relationship between the wider society and logistics. Question? - is it possible (or even desirable) to apply social engineering to the supply chain?

The 2009 programme theme was "MANAGING SUPPLY CHAINS IN A TURBULENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE"  and in 2008 the programme theme was "SUPPLY CHAIN IN THE SPOTLIGHT" All the presentations for the related events are available to members in the members area of this site

More about membership and how we manage our programme can be seen by clicking on the 'membership' tab above

Links to Industry The Logistics Directors Club was incorporated in December 1995  and is a non-profit making organisation. Whilst the LDC maintains its independence, it works closely with other institutes, associations and specialist interest groups in the Logistics and Supply Chain World
